FSQ is a group of producers making a mix of Soul, Funk, Disco and House Music. Each member of this quintet derives from a deep musical background.
Chuck Da Fonk toured and recorded with George Clinton & Parliament - Funkadelic in the mid nineties. The Hourchild is equal parts hype-man as he is discographer, having cut his teeth in the nineties servicing Tommy Boy’s record pool. The Hourchild is also George Clinton’s nephew who looked after a young Chuck back in the day. Philly-based Matt Coogan “One Era” is a talented multi-instrumentalist and producer. Chas Bronz, is most known for his talents behind the decks, on the guitar, as well as a slew of other instruments. Rounding out the group is none other than G Koop. G's a talented producer, session musician and replay specialist for the likes of Nelly, George Clinton, Drake, Talib Kweli, Atmosphere, Ice Cube, Scarface et al.
Winter 2014 brought about FSQ’s first release on Soul Clap records, the "Zulu Congo Call” EP. In addition to working on new productions, FSQ continues to remix other artists’ works in their signature style of Northern Soul and Caribbean Disco
